In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I need to express my gratitude to the clients I spend time with everday; I’ve learned so much from the journeys I share with them, it’s hard to sum it all up in a short little article.  I’ve been witness to miraculous changes in the lives of the people I work with, and I know that 100% of the positive transformations are a direct result of their ability to BELIEVE that change is possible.

As you can imagine, the first visit to my office is not usually a happy one, and it takes great courage for people to reach out, ask for help, and prepare themselves to be vulnerable.   I always say a little prayer before a new client walks in, that he or she will find a glimmer of hope to hold onto by the end of their appointment.  When struggling with anxiety or depression, finding even a small morsel of hope to grasp can be extremely challenging, but it is vital for change to be possible.

The people that are able to feel their way through the dark to find even the smallest ray of light shining through a crack in the door, are the ones who can and will experience positive changes.  BELIEF is the first step to change.  Even if it feels uncomfortable or unfamiliar to BELIEVE things can be better, and even if you can’t imagine HOW things could be better, you have to find a way to BELIEVE in even a mere 1% chance of life being better.  If you open your mind to even a slim possibility of positive change, I promise you will start SEEING proof of hope sooner than you can imagine.

If you BELIEVE 100% that nothing will ever feel better, you will be right.  Don’t do this to yourself.  You are worthy of positive change.  You are worthy of happiness and joy.  You are worthy of love.

I am grateful for my belief that change is possible for anyone.  I am grateful for being witness to people owning their happiness and taking charge of the power of their minds.  I am grateful to everyone that has taken a chance on hope and chose to BELIEVE things could possibly be better one day, even if they had absolutely no idea how that would be possilble.

SEEING follows BELIEVING.  Please open your heart and mind to the idea of your life improving; I’ve watched it happen with amazing people who, on their first appointment, had to dig really deep to find hope.

If you need help but you aren’t ready to reach out, please do yourself a favor and take one positive step today…research the power of your mind, read an affirmation, listen to a guided meditaiton, do yoga, go for a walk, read something good, watch a positive video, talk to a positive friend, take a bath…do something that moves you in a postiive direction.  Please ask to feel the power of BELIEF.  Look for a shimmer of light in the dark and know that your current situation does not have to be permanent.
